Saint Patrick's Basilica Knights of Columbus Council 12158 was named the best overall council in the province of Ontario for the 2004-2005 fraternal year.

Ontario Knights of Columbus State Deputy, Jack Clancy, made the presentation at the annual convention in Toronto from May 21-23. The Best Overall Council Award is the highest award for a Knights of Columbus Council in the province.

This award is based on a range of church, community, youth, family and council activities. We are very pleased to receive this award, particularly during the 150th anniversary year of Saint Patrick's Basilica parish. The Knights also won separate awards for membership recruitment and for the monthly knights mass, rosary and hospitality.

The Best Overall Council is a team award. All the members of our council deserve congratulations for their contribution during the past year.
