Saint Patrick's Basilica Knights of Columbus has taken temporary custody of the Best Overall Council Lectern until the next Ontario State Convention in the spring of 2006. The best overall council in Ontario has traditionally been awarded the lectern as a token of recognition. This vintage lectern is covered with inscriptions of the names and fraternal years of previous Council winners in Ontario dating back to 1949-50. On August 23, the lectern was delivered to Reid Barry, Grand Knight of Council 12158, from the state office of the Knights of Columbus. The lectern will be displayed in the Knights of Columbus Council Chamber for the coming fraternal year. The names of previous winners of the award are listed below.
