Peter Kreeft to speak at Saint Patrick's Basilica

The pastoral staff at Saint Patrick's Basilica are pleased to announce that internationally known Catholic author, lecturer and educator Peter Kreeft will be speaking at Saint Patrick’s Basilica at the beginning of Holy Week 2007.
Dr. Kreeft is professor of philosophy at Boston College and has over 45 popular titles to his credit, including Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Heaven, Christianity for Modern Pagans and Socrates Meets Jesus.
On Saturday, March 31 at 7:30 pm, Dr. Kreeft will speak on the "Passion, Death and Resurrection of the Church". The experience of many Catholics today is that the Church is going through a severe trial. Why is it happening? Where will it lead? Will the Church survive? How should individual Catholics and families respond?
On Sunday, April 1 at 1:30 pm, he will speak on the subject: "What Difference Does Jesus Make?" In this age of multiculturalism and religious pluralism does it really make any real difference whether one believes in Jesus Christ or not? The majority of people in the formerly Christian West seem to think not. Is it arrogant and intolerant to think otherwise? What is so unique about Jesus Christ? What difference has He made to the world? How can He make difference to me?
