Just a quick follow up for your generous assistance on 6 October in sending off the walkers on their fundraiser walkathon for the Centretown Emergency Food Centre. I will not be present this year as I will be in Australia visiting my brother in law who is not doing well with his cancer treatments. He came to visit my husband in the two weeks leading up to his death in November 2015 and so it is my turn to thank him for his love and care for his brother, and my much loved Paul.
Below is the email from the walk organiser with some instructions but adding that it is best if you are ready to lead the crowd out the north door of city hall by 2:20.
Thank you again Don for your engagement with the Centretown Churches Social Action Committee the lead organisation for ecumenical social action in our part of town of which the Centretown Emergency Food Centre is our key project.

It will be the same as last year on October 6, 2019. The Welcoming and launch start at 2:00 – 2:20 pm and the Piper is 2:20 pm. The music and Registration start at 1:30 pm.

Thank you Donald. I think we will start in the afternoon at one with registration and then around 2 for a few opening words by the organisers followed at 2:20 with you leading the walkers out the door and into Confederation park. I will confirm this later just in case there are any new changes. I hope we have a beautiful fall for this event after such a long cool spring. Roger advised me that you had agreed to pipe the walkers once again for the fundraiser for the Centretown Emergency Food Centre. Thank you very much for doing this for us.
